My March Reflection

Hello everyone! Welcome to another blog post.

I have been taking two weeks off from my blog to truly reevaluate how I have been feeling about the posts I am publishing, and to be honest, I do not always resonate with what I put out here. The posts I have been sharing (although I do believe they hold important messages) are not reflective of my vision and goals for this website. I am not sure if I am just overthinking (which I seem to do often), but I feel that every blog post I write carries a repetitive message.

So, for the last week of March and first week of April, I have reflected inward to take note of my current values and priorities. I believe that by better knowing myself, I will be able to lead a more productive, balanced lifestyle, and this change will reflect through my blog posts.

Therefore, after a deep 30 minute reflection, I concluded that these are my priorities for April:

1) School / grades

2) Mental / gut health (improving my microbiome to improve my overall mood / "the gut is the second brain")

3) Extracurriculars / self-study

4) Daily, consistent movement

Now, the big question: What will I do with this priorities list?

I will use this priorities list to revise my daily morning, afternoon, and evening routines, which would also help me form more effective to-do lists. Ultimately, I will (hopefully) end up with a more productive, efficient, and balanced routine (where rest and self care are included).

For example, this is my new night routine (after coming home from swim practice):

1) finish any uncompleted homework or studying (even if it may take the whole night) + eat dinner

2) extracurricular at-home tasks (like practicing piano or planning school events)

3) self-study (for maybe 30-60 min)

4) plan for the next day: clothes, food, backpack

So, to wrap up, I have basically reflected on what my current priorities are (since they have significantly changed since September of 2021) and revised my current routines to fit those new priorities. The result? A more productive, efficient, and catered-to-me routine that I will ACTUALLY ENJOY AND BENEFIT FROM.

As I am concluding this post, I realize how much I truly resonate with what I have written down, which was my goal for this post in the first place. I can already FEEL the results of the simple 30 minute reflection from a few days ago. I BELIEVE that this upcoming month, April 2022, will be a month where you and I will feel in control of our actions and lifestyle.
