When we think of exercise, the first few things that may come to mind are weights, dumbells, and the treadmill. For some of us, this may be enticing, but for others, it just seems stressful, boring, or overwhelming. We tend to forget that there are different forms of enjoyable physical activities that go beyond traditional workouts. From dance and hiking to gardening and yoga, there are so many ways we can get our body moving without the need for regimented routines.

Whether you're participating in formal dance classes, dancing at home, or enjoying social dancing, the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of dancing contribute to a healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle.

Here's a summary of the health benefits of dancing:

- cardiovascular health + calorie burning

Remember, by the end of the day, we should really just focus on movement that makes us feel good. We tend to see the best results when we work from the inside out (not by forcing ourselves to fit into a certain body type or shape). So, as you continue or start your health journey, focus on how you treat your body and what you think fuels you best. What balance suits you?

Keep up the good work!
