If you're here because you need oatmeal inspiration or have never tried oatmeal or just want to know my favorites, you've come to the right place. Oats have quickly become a popular heart-healthy food, especially for its beneficial nutrients, like high fiber content. Those in the health and wellness industry have used it to expand and diversify their meals, such as by making baked oats, cakes, granola, and my favorite, oatmeal. Below are my top three flavors for oatmeal that I have tried so far, but because I am always getting inspiration from others, I'll definitely have to do an update by the end of this year!

#3: Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal

This oatmeal both looks good and tastes amazing. Is there really anything else to ask for?

Why Oatmeal Has Become My Favorite Breakfast

Besides health benefits, oatmeal just tastes amazing. I would gladly have it for three meals a day. They are so versatile and customizable that they just become a blank canvas for me to decorate. I have been on this intuitive eating journey for a few months now, and what I have learned is that balance is key. Applying this to my meals, I try to have a healthy balance of carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats every meal. In oatmeal, the oats are my carbohydrates, the yogurt is my protein, and chia seeds are my healthy fats, and ultimately, this balanced meal keeps me full for hours.

So, whatever meal you have, even if it is not oatmeal, find balance. Try your best everyday to incorporate activity and balanced eating, but when a day comes where there is less nutritious food, do not hold back on that food. Life is too short to worry over a single meal.
