If you're looking for a simple, quick, and nutritious salmon recipe, you've come to the right place. If you have cooked before, you know that putting something to bake in the oven is much easier than frying, flipping, and trying not to burn it. That's why, when it comes to fish, I LOVE to add several spices and seasonings and enjoy the result. Keep reading for the recipe to this delicious, just-the-right-texture salmon.
Baked Salmon (with Herbs and Lemon)
Ingredients
salmon/salmon fillets (amount depends on your preference)
rosemary
lemon juice (I used the juice of two small lemons)
olive oil
salt
pepper
chopped garlic (I used 4 cloves)
additional fresh herbs (I used parsley, dill, and thyme)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
Line your baking dish with a LARGE PIECE of foil and lightly coat with baking spray (or butter or a little bit of olive oil)
Wash your salmon and use towels to absorb extra water
Place salmon in your baking tray and coat in olive oil, salt and pepper, scattering the chopped garlic on top
Rub in your lemon juice on both sides of the salmon
Season your salmon on both sides using your rosemary and additional fresh herbs
Fold the sides of the foil up to completely enclose the salmon, leaving a little room for air to circulate (if the foil is not large enough, take a second piece of foil to enclose the salmon)
Bake for 15-20 min
Broil for 3 min
Note: Baking time depends on the thickness and size of your salmon, If thicker, bake for an additional five minutes or until the thickest part of the salmon is cooked.
